Who and why? All about Catchthelingo.com and Qué Bueno Ltd
Q - So..What is the purpose of this website? I mean it looks pretty but what exactly is the point of it?
A - CatchtheLingo.com makes immersion travel easier and cheaper for everyone involved. We help you find and book the right language course in South America by allowing you to compare courses and then book them quickly and safely via our secure booking and payment system. We make it easier for you to find TEFL courses so that you can become qualified to teach English abroad. We can also point you in the right direction if you want to volunteer and we can even make sure that you find good accommodation while in South America. We provide honest and accurate information on where to go through our destination guide and we support you from start to finish as you start your journey….
Q - So what´s the catch..?
A - There is no catch - you just travel and catch the lingo (sorry couldn't resist..). As we work on a 'supplier pays commission' basis the service of CatchtheLingo is completely free for you to use.
Q - When was this website established?
A - The website was launched in April 2010 but the project has been running for almost a year now..
Q - Who are behind the website?
A - A group of former travelling friends set up a limited company in the UK last year. The company name is Qué Bueno Ltd and it is a registered as number 6900995.
Q - Where is the website/company based?
A - While we would love to spend as much time as possible in South America, we are unfortunately (for a lot of logistical reasons I won´t bore you with) based in London, England. To be specific, 27 Porchester Square, W2 6AN.
Q - I need to contact CatchtheLingo. How can I best do that?
A - Generally because we travel so much it is best to drop us an email at info@catchthelingo.com or if you prefer to speak to either of us in person call our London base on 0044 20 72216809. We are also available on skype as 'catchthelingosupport'
Q - Is CatchtheLingo.com or Que Bueno Ltd VAT registered?
A - No. Because we offer a booking service for education services as an online intermediary we are exempt from VAT. Of course the schools that we host do pay taxes necessary in their country.
Q - Is Catchthelingo.com\ Que Bueno Ltd recognised by any professional bodies or trade associations?
A - We enjoy the support of the two national associations of Spanish schools in Argentina (SEA and AACELE).This because we bring affordability, control and transparency to the language student market and this of great benefit to their members. As we are not an agent (you can probably tell this from our low prices), we arent party to any agent associations. Some day there may be an association of good community websites which we would of course join.
Q - Is CatchtheLingo.com operating under the laws of the UK or under the laws of a South American country?
A - Que Bueno ltd and CatchtheLingo.com operate under UK and European law.
