Using CatchtheLingo.com - Making the most of this website.
Q. - I just landed on your site from a search engine. I think I would like to go to South America for a few months but I don´t really know what I want to do or where I want to go... This seems like a big site - where do I start?
A. - Best place to start is our destination guide. Go in and have a good browse and soak up South America. We have over 80 articles in here on just about everywhere in Argentina and Chile. These written pieces are complimented by photos and video clips so that you can really taste a destination.
Once you have an idea of where you would like to go, then you need to start thinking about what you might do once there. You will notice that our destination guide uses a tab system so that when reading about a destination you can tab across to any offerings we have in that destination. The picture below is from our Buenos Aires Destination guide page.
On this site, we offer the ability for you to book directly with Spanish Schools and TEFL training schools. You will find hundreds of courses by using our powerful search tool (Look for the big green bar on top of every page!). When you find the right course, you simply pay 15% up front to make a reservation and then, with the support of our team you will be ready to immerse yourself in the language and culture of South America. Remember we only offer the best prices on all courses, the same as schools offer directly!
You can also use the big green bar to find information on volunteering opportunities (third section). South America and volunteering have always gone hand in hand. There is no better way to engage the real South America than to volunteer on one of the free or low cost volunteering opportunities that we offer so do give this section a browse. Remember, we only offer an information service on volunteering and we don't charge or earn any money from doing this. With the Accommodation section we offer you the power to search for apartments across Buenos Aires and Santiago with agents that you can trust. Also, at the bottom of every page you can book hostel accommodation through hostelbookers.
We have information guides located here that will make sure you are prepared for when you come to South America.
Q. - So I have found the perfect destination and there are a couple of Spanish schools and accommodation providers that interest me. But how do I know which option is best for me?
A. - Please see our set of guides here which which will help you make the right decision.
Q. - So I have found some useful information.. I think I will just contact the provider directly. What is the point in using your site any more?
A. - Three reasons. Firstly we offer exactly the same price that the provider offers directly so you wont save a penny, cent or peso going directly. Secondly, we offer you UK based support and by booking through us, you know your place on a course is confirmed and if anything does go wrong you have a team who will answer to you. Thirdly, you only pay a 10-15% deposit through our hassle free highly secure booking system to secure your place on a course so it is easier than wiring money through western union to a school. So in conclusion, booking through CatchtheLingo is easier, quicker, safer and doesn't cost anything for you to use.
Q. - I have questions though that I need the school \ accommodation provider to answer before I am ready to book. Don't I have to contact the school \ accommodation provider to have these questions answered?
A. - No not at all. Why stress yourself chasing people in South America when we can manage this for you. We have relationships with the providers so we can get answers that you can trust on, quickly. We don't charge for this service as it is important for us that the community know that CatchtheLingo are here to support from start to finish. To ask a question relating to a particular school or accommodation provider, please use the enquiry system we have provided for every school and accommodation provider. An enquiry form can be found at the bottom of every providers page and looks like this.
If your question isn't specific to a particular school or provider then you can email us at info@catchthelingo.com or shout over to us on skype @ 'CatchtheLingo support'
Q. - My questions are answered and I'm ready to book a course but it seems I need an account to do so. Why is this, does it cost anything to have an account on CatchtheLingo and how do I register?
A. - First of all it's completely free to have an account on CatchtheLingo. There are three reasons why we ask you to register. The main reason is because we are a community website and we wish to encourage you to share your experience after you completed the course. We hope that you will contribute a review on the site and that you will offer other members of the community advice through the forums. Caring is sharing and all that.. The second reason is to make sure the booking process is as smooth as possible. By setting up an account, we can be in touch with you from the second you book right up until your course finishes. We can make sure that everything ticks along nicely. Finally by having an account you can login any time and manage your booking.
Registration takes a whole 30 seconds. You simply go to the bottom of the page and click on register. You only have to provide a few mandatory details and you are ready to go.
