Pisco Sin Fronteras is an group that was established one year after the horrific earthquake of 2007. They are slowly rebuilding a town and a community by constructing houses, schools, sanitation units and helping with other projects. Even though it’s been over two years since the disaster and there are still significant numbers without housing and adequate sanitation so lots of work still do.
Located in the chincha province which suffered badly in the earthquake of 2007, this community organisation is working hard to create programs and activities that help children build self esteem and self-worth. They are also working to improve safety and nourishment of the children they work with. Decent Spanish required.
This orphanage has been running for over 10 years. It was set up by a Belgium couple and has huge support from former vounteers. There is opportunities to volunteer at the children´s home and also at some other sustainable development projects that they manage.
