So what's with all this ranting about the community..?
The simple truth is that both Stephen and I owe most of our thinking behind this project to our experiences in South America in years gone by. We too travelled around living the life of a nomad, we volunteered, studied Spanish and generally just had a great time. Long before this domain name was even fixed upon, Eamonn was emailing, skyping and even setting up forums to hassle friends for their 50 cent on this or on that.
If this site is going to be successful, if it is to grow in the future then it must always be shaped, chopped and rebuilt by those who are at the centre of it, you. This is the reason why catchthelingo is geared towards community. We don't charge any money to the community who use our site, we don't try and stuff you with adds and we don't recommend anything to you just because they pay us a good referral commission. We try and always be transparent and honest with both providers and users.

We want to help you and we want you to get involved. Use our forums to ask questions, emails or call us. Let us know how what you think about the site. If a booking goes badly we will make sure there is a just outcome.
We will publish your articles and photos (and pay you when we can), we will make public your feedback and we will work with you to support other worthy grass roots organisations.
Of course you could just ignore us, pay over the odds and have a lesser experience in South America. But you are smarter than that.., just like the monkeys above you know when to open those big eyes.
